Doug Fieger - The Knack - Come a Little Bit Closer
Great........😮
They still rock
Doug's voice still sounds the same as in 1979 when My Sharona was first released. R.I.P Doug . Gone too soon❤.
Wow. They really sucked live, huh? Studio artists.
Timeless classic , but which one was first , my shadow in vain Tubeway army or My Sharona , very similar riff
Too bad he had to cut his solo in half for the program. The extended version of the solo is fantastic and creative.
There something wrong on this video. Doug always played a Strat, and the lead guitar player a Les Paul. They switched for this performance!
It never gets old and that solo…
I play this song over an over.
Como van a cortar el mejor solo de guitarra de todos los tiempos, es una herejia
thanks for this video unknown in France dommage the knack is great.
Awesome song. ❤❤❤
The Knack doesn't get enough credit for their musicianship. Bruce is among the greatest drummers in rock history.
当時fmラジオかなんかで録音したこのライブのカセットテープを持っていたけど、無くしてしまってたので、すごく嬉しいです😂 ありがとうございます❤
Knack on 8 Cylinders!!
the solo urrrrrrrr
Bruce Gary, a master drummer! We played on Robby Krieger 's (Doors) Cinamatix album
I could watch them forever. Thanks for posting this, Pete!
Está músicas lembra minha adolescência!!! Saudades desse tempo de músicas boas!!!❤
he freakin NAILED the My Sharona lead solo!
Why does "Tell Me You're Mine" sound like it's sung by one of the other members of the band AND NOT by Doug Fieger?!?! Always has!
its Doug.
Don't like the shortened guitar solo...the original full length solo is greatly underrated.
Thanks for uploading this, Pete! Keep the uploads coming!
This is the short version of the Solo. The Song also played a little to fast.
Couldn't wait to get they're 1st LP! OMG...what was I thinking??? S.A.D.
I don't remember the year, but I saw a show I think was billed as Doug Feiger (not The Knack). They were playing at an old run-down showcase club in San Diego called "The Spirit" club, where all us local bands played. I expected to see something along the lines of the Knack as far as the material, and when I saw Doug come out with long hair and spiked leather I was pretty shocked. I do not recall liking it. I loved the pure guitar sound of the first 2 albums. I remember hearing that flanger on Doug's guitar and thinking "What is this???" Anyway, they were a great, ultra-tight band, regardless.
Бертон и Дуг! Молодцы и горжусь что одной с ними кровью если понимаете меня!
Even less than a month before they imploded and broke up,listen how great they were live!
It is indeed a very good song!.. The beat and rhythm of it really resonates , that is, if you're human!
Is this a testament to how you throw away a career?
The Knack needed better management/promotion that's for goddamned sure. Someone like Peter Grant of Led Zep fame.
🤟ขอบคุณครับผม...ชอบมาก🙏
VHS
That sucked! I have the extended guitar riff version! That one rocks! I hate abbreviated versions...👎
The drummer isn't Bruce Gary...
~ BRUCE GARY/DRUMS ~
Big difference from the other one. Thank You for locating and posting. I’m a retired live sound engineer and Love live recordings! 👍🔊🎚🎤🎸🥁
Does anybody know who the guy is on keyboards and occasionally guitar in the left?
I am told his name is Irv Kramer
The lineup was--- Doug Fieger: rhythm guitar, harmonica, vocals Berton Averre: lead guitar, back vocals Prescott Niles: bass Bruce Gary: drums, percussion Their songs on their debut album “Get The Knack” were written from the point of view of a perpetually horny, pimple-faced 14-year-old teenage boy who was constantly frustrated because the girls wouldn’t give him the time of day. When Doug Fieger passed away, that knocked the Knack out of the running. It didn’t help that Bruce Gary died a few years later. But for a shining moment, the Knack was a killer band.
Devo RULES
How did Feiger get away with that haircut for so long?! 🤦🏻♂️
good stuff
Certainly a weird period for them with the longer hair and questionable fashion choices by Doug. But, still laying it down thick!
Thanks for upload!
Thanks for the upload!
Although The Knack were a one hit wonder, I’ll give them some credit, they weren’t bad live.
They had a second hit off the first album, "Good Girls Don't"
Great song !!
Bruce Gary was criminally underrated… I saw him do a drum clinic at Drum World in San Francisco..He was already a huge influence on me but that clinic Bruce was on another level..simply amazing! #goneFarTooSoon #ripBruceGaryAndDougFieger
They were at their absolute peak touring for the 2nd album. They really lost a step by this time. Doug sounds rough. They broke up shortly after this show.
Disagree. Round Trip is a classic. Maybe even their best
